Frédéric Chopin (1810-49) was a Polish composer and pianist of the romantic era. He wrote primarily for the solo piano, although his works also include two piano concertos, chamber works, and Polish songs.

A fine recital piece in its own right, this piece also provides a good teaching aid for developing a strong left hand as it follows the finger/fret technique pattern, helping to build strength in all four fingers.
