This Prelude for keyboard was written to mark two years (L. duo anni) of a particularly important stage in my life. It was originally supposed to be followed by a Fugue but I never felt able to complete it.
Though short, the Prelude manages (I feel) to encompass a number of emotions from enthusiam to poignancy and even perhaps grief in the closing phrase despite the Eb (relative) major key.
