I edited a version of which, which is now included in my PRB Music Piano Series on Score Exchange.
It is such a haunting little melody - a true 'song without words' - that I thought I'd arrange it for Clarinet and Piano. I have largely kept to the original, but have added a few embellishments, and minor tweaks to allow for the melody now being played on a wind instrument.
I then got to think that the melody really sounded fine, not just on the clarinet, but an other woodwind instruments, members of the brass, and saxophone families respectively.
What you see here is the original arrangement I made for Clarinet, but I have included separate individual parts for a number of other wind instruments. The List of Parts currently show what is available, but it is the simplest matter to provide a version virtually for any wind instrument - appropriately transposed, and amended to fit the range and character of each respective instrument. Just let me know if, for example, a part is missing, or, whether you might prefer a transposition based either on orchestral practices, or brass band conventions.
However, the piano accompaniment for the original 'Clarinet' version, is designed to fit any other solo instrument that it might be used to accompany.
There is a separate version where I have transposed the arrangement down a semitone, to A minor. This is a somewhat more appropriate key for string instruments, as well as Descant / Tenor Recorders. However, the Treble / Sopranino Recorder version is still more effective in B flat minor, so the parts for these two members of the Recorder Family are included here. For the sake of completeness, there is also a part suitable for the Bass Recorder.
The piece could provide a very short 'interval' in a longer programme, or even an encore, perhaps where two contrasting ones are given.
Here is a link to the transposed version in A minor.
