Sergei Prokofiev (1891-1953) wrote a "Classical Symphony" (Symphonie classique), op. 25, during the years 1916 and 1917, with the intent of creating a symphony in the style of Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809). When I learned about it, I felt motivated to do the same, that is, to write a symphony in the classical style. I think, what I produced sounds more like Mozart
