It has two contrast movements Lento and Presto. It was premiered by Vasili Lobanov on 8 December 1980 in the Union of Composers, Moscow. It was also played by Susan Bradshaw in England. She recorded the piece on BBC-3. It was published in the collection �Sonatas by Soviet Composers for Piano�, Vol. 9, Sovetsky Kompozitor Publishers, in 1983, Moscow.
