This Sonata is short (7 mins total) and is composed of three short,contrasting movements. The first movement is optimistic, with strong rhythmic textures - almost a toe tapper. The second movement contrasts internally with a troubled main theme sandwiching a free, flowing secondary melody. The third movement is a more traditional rondo form, although the primary motif is itself repeated in variation form. This work is pitched at approximately ABRSM Grade 6.
