The date on the original manuscript is 15th March 1969 and it has since languished alongside other sketches and scribblings. Having at last decided to notate it properly, I find it impossible to take an objective view of a piece conceived so long ago. I have a sneaking affection for the piece, despite its wayward structure. So here it is for the curious and for those who stumble on it by accident.
The work has a prelude for violin duo entitled ’Parentheses’ which is also available on Score Exchange.
