You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. One of my guilty pleasures is the music found in the storage compartment of a piano bench. When music was made in the home, not purchased as a recording, every piano bench contained music by lesser composers such as Christian Sinding, Gustav Lange and Joseph M. Daly. Among these pieces of sheet music there was always a faux orientale piece – a Turkish march, a Marche Arabe, or, for example, Louis Ganne’s Marche Tartare. But then, both Mozart and Beethoven also wrote popular Turkish marches.
Since the ersatz Arabic, Turkish and Chinese marches have already been written, I decided to do a Persian March in the style of the nineteenth century. I hope you enjoy playing it.
