Als Komponisten kommen der Gothaer Hofkapellmeister Heinrich Walch (1776-1855) Michael Haydn und Ludwig v.Beethoven in Frage. Mit Beethovens Namen erschien dieser Marsch in Klavierfassung 1860 bei einem Leipziger Verlag. Ein reizvoller Marsch, dessen Dynamik sich terrassenf�rmig vom Piano zum Forte steigert.Einen Kontrast dazu bildet das t�nzerische Trio. Der Marsch wurde bald international bekannt.Die verb�ndeten �sterreicher,Preussen und Russen marschierten im M�rz 1814 unter den Kl�ngen dieses Marsches in Paris ein.
