This is one of Ireland's most haunting ballads ever. It is a lovely mixolydian melody describing the sorrow at leaving one's homeland and loved ones, likely forever. This arrangement uses long drones and simple accompaniment to let the lyrical melody shine. Instructions are included for easily tripling the length of this arrangement. One sharp, no accidentals.
