This carefully researched arrangement of an unspeakably great piece of Baroque music uses the surprisingly rare combination of steel drums, bells, sousaphone and Patagonian bagpipes. However, I have no doubt this arrangement will trigger a flood of contributions also seeking to elevate pieces such as this to dizzying new heights of musical excellence. For those who missed this arrangement on its first outing a few weeks ago, please bear with the apparently empty bars and staves, they are central to my prolonged search for the spiritual heart of Herr Pachelbel's great composition.
January 2009 - it seems that the Scorch playback of this score no longer matches the original sounds that were available when the score was first published. David Benning has very kindly provided me with an mp3 recording of the score as it sounded in 2003 and I have uploaded it. Please listen to this in preference to the Scorch playback as it conveys all the drama, conflict and pathos I strove to convey in the original arrangement.
