This piece I presented for the Carl Orff Competition for the year 2018. However, it was rejected because I put the wrong poem by Rainer Maria Rilke into music, namely "Orpheus" and not "Eurydice", and, generally spoken, I found Orpheus's relationship with animals more interesting than mourning for a hysterical goat. But that did not discourage me, and so, after the rejection, I put exactly that into music, which was then accepted for the contest. The fact that I did not win any prize was immaterial since I had fun with working out both compositions.
