From "Little Book for Organ" Book 3, a further selection of organ pieces by Simon Peberdy Written on St. George's Day 2016, this 3 minute piece is full of energy and is a joy to play. The middle section has a decidedly sinister feel to it, contrasting with the sprightly outer sections. Originally I wanted to call it "The Headless Horseman", though thought maybe it wouldn't get much of an airing in churches with that title. So, you can think of the middle section as being the dragon that St. George had to contend with.

One of a series of new organ pieces in different styles to suite all occasions. For more, visit www.simonpeberdymusic.com as well as for more compositions and arrangements (including piano duet / 2 pianos 4 hands, choral and instrumental pieces).
