This is a simple piece for improvising ensemble. Any instrument(s) can be the soloist. The repeated phrase is played on cue as often as needed or desired, cued by a conductor or member of the ensemble. In a larger group, the conductor can designate which instruments will play the figure, and also specify a tempo. On the conductor's cue, the final chord is held, with optional cadenza by the soloist(s).

When the figure is not sounding, the other players can also play, if desired, or leave the soloists(s) to play with just rhythm section instruments.

Dedicated to the first soloist, steel guitar and ensemble leading virtuoso Myk Freedman.
