FOR BEST RESULTS, PLEASE LISTEN TO THE MP3. This piece was originally composed as a test piece for London College of Music organ and keyboard Grade 1. It is in a folk/sea shanty idiom. It has also become popular as a vocal solo and also in its choral arrangement, having been performed by a folk ensemble at Giggleswick Summer School and by the Phoenix Choir on tour, to name but two. It also lends itself very well to performance as an accordion solo.
