This piece is unashamedly ’normal’. I’d been teaching Grade 8 music theory to Gabriel, the son of some good friends. I wanted to put some of the composition/development techniques that we had been studying into an original piece to demonstrate how they could be applied. My plan was to give Gabriel a half-finished sketch for completion and compare his realisation with my own. But hey - he was plenty busy with other things! Maybe guitarists might find my version interesting to play as it stands. It's in classic binary form.
Following an accident, I am no longer able to perform well on guitar myself. The mp3 recording is therefore made using kontakt player.
