This arrangement of the Ode to Joy from Beethoven's ninth symphony is for Grade 4 to 5 solo pianists or as an accompaniment to a beginner instrumentalist playing flute, oboe or trumpet able to play the simple melody line - ideally an octave higher than the piano. It could be played at the start of an EC occasion. The tune is used as the anthem of the European Union.It can also be played on an electronic keyboard selecting an organ synthesiser stop.I have corrected an error in a top line chord in one bar near the end, which I expect many will have spotted and changed!
