This arrangement of "O Mio Babbino Caro" for 1½-octave handbells (diatonic C5-G6) is readily playable by three 4-in-hand handbell musicians, and includes tower swing, gyro and vibrato. "O mio babbino caro" translates as "Oh my dear Papa”, and was originally a soprano aria from the opera Gianni Schicchi (by renowned Italian composer Giacomo Puccini) sung by the character Lauretta after tensions between her father, and the boy she loved.
