A straightforward arrangement for a mixed ensemble with flexible instrumentation: woodwind, brass, piano, or organ and strings. The original tune (LYNGHAM) was composed by Thomas Jarman(1715-81)with words by Charles Wesley (1707-88) The Descant part can be played on Flute, Clarinet, or Trumpet during the 3rd and 6th verses. You might like to add the brass parts on all the even verses etc. This setting was designed for a small or larger church group of various combinations and should work with a few instruments and a keyboard. If you use this arrangement let me know how is goes! Timpani and Glockenspiel parts included. The MP3 was recorded with NotePerformer 4.
