Playing duets with a friend or teacher is an excellent way to improve your performance skills. This is the Russian Dance from the Nutcracker Suite arranged for two clarinets. The short high passages, above top D in the first clarinet part, are optional and sound fine at one octave below. Dynamics are very important in both parts. They change frequently and are a key ingredient to a successful performance.
