The key to a great performance here is to play the piece expressively with close attention to dynamics (brass instruments can sound fantastic when played quietly with a distant quality). Sure, the obstinate sections in the trombone part are tricky but if played sympathetically as an accompaniment to the two trumpets, can be very rewarding.
