Now the Day is Over-Text by Sabine Baring-Gould, the Tune: Schubert's Deutsche Messe Sanctus. This is the first of two "Hymns based on tunes of Schubert" The other is Soul of my Saviour. This text is highly appropriate for vespers services. The verses have been doubled up to fit the meter of the tune.
