This beautiful tune was written by my brother Martin in 1994 as a piano solo. It has a gentle and slightly melancholy mood played at a moderately slow tempo. He has given me permission to arrange it here for Concert Band – There is a stirring descant line in the last verse for Solo Trumpet and Solo Horn. This piece fades away at the end with a progression of quiet and changing close chords over and sustained single note in the melody…
This is version 2 in the lower key of Eb. Version 1 is also available in Ab.
