A song in a popular idiom; a kind of ballad. The verse has a few unexpected harmonic twists, but I deliberately set out to write the chorus using harmonic clich�s, but giving each part an interesting line to sing. It could equally well be sung by soloists or a small choir. The words deal with the despair one can feel after a separation, although the nature of the separation is not specifically alluded to.
