"Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen" is a traditional Negro spiritual. The song is also a popular jazz evergreen, and many cover versions of it have been recorded. Louis Armstrong, a jazz trumpeter and vocalist, a true "Master of Jazz", recording is probably the best well known.
