These tunes are of a variety of characters, moods, and levels of difficulty. The characteristic fiddle slides and turns are written in classical notation and form. The guitar chords serve as guides for string bass and piano accompaniments. The tunes can treated with the characteristic bluegrass style of instruments taking turns with the melody and improvisation. The mandolin can play tremolo on longer notes, whereas the violin will vibrato those notes.
