You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This was originally written in 1970, and revised in 1974. It is a sentimental ballad, and could have a light drum accompaniment, even bass and rhythm guitars, although it would sound equally well with a simple piano, or in this case, electronic piano backing.
My mother sang this revised version for a recording at the time, with Roy Saunders on drums. Roy and I played at most of the holiday camps in the Looe area in Cornwall, before his death. The attached MP3 file is made from that original reel-to-reel recording of 1974, dubbed onto cassette where the piano was then added - an early bit of multi-tracking! The recording quality is not, of course, perfect by today’s standards, but, I think, gives a better impression than the score alone.
The attached photo is my dear Mum and I, and was taken sadly only a month before she passed away on Easter Sunday, 2004.
The original version is also available now - i.e. with the original ending.
