«неМой CruiSe» op. 36 for violin and piano - a modern work of the young Belarusian composer Nikita
Beltiukov, which was written in 2019 during wanderings on a cruise ship in the Pacific Ocean. The piece has
two parts, so unusual for works of this kind.
Part I, Andantino ritmico ad lib. - has a very impulsive character. Rhythmic triplet at the piano pass through
almost the entire work, thereby recalling the constant movement of the floating ship along the waves. The
violin's part is quite virtuoso and requires the performer to keep the rhythm as accurate as possible.
Part II, Ad libitum poco rubatissimo - is the desire of the performers for complete freedom. The mastery of
all kinds of violin sound techniques, combined with a versatile vibrato and mysterious pauses at the piano,
makes this work truly interesting, unusual and intriguing for the listener.
