This peice uses a famous children’s poem by the poet, Vachel Lindsay. It was performed by the Northern Neck Orchestra and the 4th and 5th grade choir under the direction of Mrs. Todd Barnes. The perfomance of the Mysterious Cat brought alot of people to the concert that would not have otherwise come, the orchestra grew with community support. And a pleasant suprise was is store for us when The Marriot Foundation Executive was in the audience and gave the orchestra a grant not just for one year but for every year that we applied.
