This piece works really well when the simple rhythm and bass guitars work tightly together, paying particular attention to the staccato notes within the riff, and thumping the fourth beat of the bar to create a bouncing, irregular feel for the song. It would be helpful if the audience sang the chorus the parts slightly tanked and slightly off key! The audience and the venue owner would probably be most appreciative if you substituted the name of the pub you are playing in place of ’my favourite’! It’s about, well….don’t ya just luv goin’ to where folks know yas well; ya fave hotel…… Originally written for "the Brook", the infamous Spencers Brook Hotel, located in a little know backwater 100kms east of Perth Western Australia. Established 1884, and once a key railway junction; now a sleepy hollow. Dedicated to all the legends who passed through and went on to lesser things….
