This piece is for 4-part chorus and chamber orchestra.
It has a slightly western, jazzy flavor. The lyrics
describe the evolution of music, and many parallels
with the instrumentals convey a humorous vein. Although
a single part is written for each of the wind
instruments, they can be doubled, if desired, to match a
