Mozart completed the K. 464 string quartet in early 1785. This arrangement of the first movement (only) maintains all of Mozart's dynamics and articulation marks. The arrangement is comprised of four parts, and can be played with many different combinations of instruments. The doublings are as follows:

Part 1 (from Violin 1 original): Flute 1 OR Violin Part 2 (from Violin 2 original): Oboe OR Flute 2 Part 3 (from Viola original): Clarinet OR Flute 3 Part 4 (from Cello original): Bass Clarinet OR Tenor sax OR Bassoon OR Horn

You can buy only the parts you need. The arrangement would also work well as a woodwind ensemble; just ensure that the low parts don't disrupt the balance. Mozart's bow markings have been maintained as slurs. Because they were originally bow markings, not slurs, lightly tonguing some of the notes under the slurs may be necessary in some instances. The piece has been transposed up a tritone to an easier key. It lasts 6 minutes if you don't observe the repeats, and about 12 minutes if you do.
