I wanted to write some composition to Mozart's birth anniversary in 2006, and the best idea was to use his themes somehow recycled, and do it for piano with a possibility to arrange for the other instruments. So I have used: five motifs from piano sonata A-dur KV 331, 3rd movement (Alla Turca), another motifs from piano sonatas F-dur KV 533, 2nd movement, a-moll KV 310, 1st + 3rd movement, D-dur KV 284, 1st movement, Fantasy c-moll KV 475, Symphony g-moll KV 550, 1st movement, Eine kleine Nachtmusik KV 525, 1st and 3rd movement, Le nozze di Figaro KV 492 - aria Se vuol ballare Signor contino, Requiem KV 626, Confutatis. I used different variation techniques and music styles (Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Viennese waltz, atonal, jazz and ethnic), connected motifs in sequence and combined them together in many possible ways (in some parts there's a synthesis of four themes). Result is Mozart remixed, in a rather sophisticated way, but hopefully also with some humour.
Work can be played also by two pianists as 4 hand duo.
