We played a Lute concerto in D in our Music lessons, and because of the lack of older instruments, we used more modern instruments, such as the bass. With this in mind, Oli had the idea for a 'modern' concerto, featuring various instruments throughout. Here is movement one, with the Piccolo (featured), Acoustic Guitar and Violin the main performers, the drum kit adding some rhythm, and the lower Piano, the Bass Guitar and the Cello playing the continuo part.
This is my (Oli) first attempt at classical writing. The format we used to write this is that I write a continuo part, the David writes a main tune.
