Gergorio Allegri was an Italian singer and composer. Born in Rome 1582 and died there in 1652. He is best known for his nine-part setting of Miserere Mei, Deus. which is the Latin version of Pslalm 51.

I arranged this short version to see how it might score for brass instruments - a quartet and a quintet. The "plainchant" is delivered by a trombone. In the final section the quartet and quintet come together.

I have adhered to the 4/2 time signature.
