The famous master of the modern tango the Argentinian Astor Piazzola is the inspiration for Mi Tango. I have had an aquaintance with the late Piazzola from the years that I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina home of the tango. I also met Piazzola during his one and only visit-concert in Boston many years ago. A feature unique of my tango is the use of accent displacement and a mixture of eastern (particularly Armenia) and western harmonic language.
