A relatively straightforward arrangement of this classic, rousing Welsh tune. It is arranged for 4 voices, but, as with most Welsh vocal pieces, the more people you have in your choir, the better it will sound! It is designed to be easy to learn and should be well within the vocal ranges for each part.
I must admit to customising the lyrics somewhat, as there are at least 8 sets of English lyrics (not to mention the Welsh lyrics), so I have pieced together some of my favourites from the different versions, making this a unique rendition. My main goal was to remove most of the violent verses and so, in this version, the English (/Saxons) are defeated at Harlech purely on the basis of the Welsh song - a much happier and totally bloodless conclusion!
