This five-movement composition depicts memories from childhood: 1. Story Time, beginning with "Once upon a time" and ending with "and they lived happily…", often a morning activity; 2. Poor Robin's Plight, during outside play time the children watch a young bird trying to fly away; 3. Follow the Leader, a favorite game with children; 4. Gallop, riding stick horses until it's time to go inside; and 5. Allie's Lullaby, a bedtime song with the child reminiscing snippets of a fun-filled day.
