In Gounod’s version of J S Bach’s Prelude No 1 the notes are set out differently from the original.
1.The semiquaver notes are shown with no rests
2. The LH in the original has sustaining notes: Gounod has semiquavers.
3.Gounod has pedalling over each complete bar: Bach indicates half bars
Gounod’s original is for voice and piano: I have transcribed for flute duet.
The melody flows between the 2 flutes: in the repeat fl 2 has the melody, fl 1 the counter melody
