It was Heitor Villa-Lobos who described Nazareth as "… the true incarnation of the Brazilian musical soul". From the time of the first publication of his music at the age of fourteen Nazareth took popular styles such as Brazilian Tango, Choro, Polka and Valsa and, fusing them with classical elegance, made them his own.
This arrangement is based on one of the composer's numerous piano pieces - compositions which have since become classics of Brazilian popular music.
