After having re-arranged a piece for brass band I thought it would be interesting to write one from scratch. Its in a pretty traditional 'Elgar/Walton' style, which I think works quite well for the medium. The title comes from the Coronation Oath. 'Faith and truth' - not bad qualities to remember in the modern world, if you're not too cynical, that is.
