Manchester’s notation 1. Sticks being hit together. 2. A drum stick pressed against the snare whilst the other stick taps on the stick. 3. Sticks played on the rim. 4.The palm of the hand pressed on the drum head to give a muted sound when hit with the other stick. 5. A chair for each drum can be played upon to generate different sounds and if the instruments are set up in a square, then the pupils can march around the instruments as they play section D. 6.The percussion instruments can be doubled up, if more players are available. i.e two snare drums and two tenor drums or two tom tom’s.
