This is a setting of the Magnificat for mixed unaccompanied choir, written with the encouragement of Dr Trevor Turner, to whom it is dedicated. I write from a secular standpoint, so this treatment lacks the more usual organ part and and I see it as a straight forward non-liturgical rendering of these traditional words in a simple direct style with a few harmonic twists on the way for the singers to grapple with.
