A beautiful choral piece for Memorial Day, Remembrance Day, funerals, and memorial services, especially for those who have died in military service, or died young, this will move both listeners and singers alike. The setting is for SATB choir, with an optional descant and divisi. The text incorporates "Lux aeterna", translated, "Let perpetual light shine upon them, Lord, with your saints in eternity, in your loving mercy." The poetic text, two stanzas Laurence Binyon's poem "For the fallen", portrays the dead as forever young in our memories, and never forgotten. The piece can be learned in its simplest form in a single rehearsal, but the optional descants are well worth the extra time spent learning them.
