You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Back in 2007 I made five arrangements for Accordion Orchestra, after a contact from Patricia Bartell, who directed the Spokane Accordion Orchestra in Washington USA.
Whilst accordions have keyboards like the piano, I had never written anything for one, let alone an orchestra of them. Here, I was fortunate that Patricia was able to give me some advice in this rather unfamiliar territory.
Recently I was contacted by the orchestra again, I recall in order to replace a couple of missing parts.
The orchestra now has a new director, Beverley Fess, who is equally well-known in the field, and I suggested I arrange two more pieces for the orchestra, this time relying on the invaluable help and assistance from Bev, with regards appropriate registrations (those little ’smiley’-like circles along the way, and instrument range.
We have collaborated across the Atlantic, and I’m delighted to have arranged Can-Can alla Rossini and Lochardil Dances for accordion orchestra, dedicated once more to the Spokane players, and gratefully acknowledging Bev’s input as overall editor. Lochardil Dances also includes a part for optional drum kit.
