Let Us Know the Lord is based on Hosea 6:3. The compositional style is "contemporary", with many dissonances and tone clusters.
The second section is a musical metaphor based on the text "His appearing is as sure as the dawn". With ascending clusters it seeks to portray the daily battle between darkness and light - the appearing of the dawn.
The final section provides a calm assurance of the coming of the Lord.
