Background:
You can’t have enough solos for Christmas, and as the composer is currently on Solo Euphonium in the band, why not write himself a solo!?
The solo is a little corny in its basic arrangement, but it would be hoped that the soloist will enjoy this fairly light and not too difficult an arrangement.
Conductor’s Notes:
It goes without saying that the tempo and volumes should be lead by the soloist, but the ‘verses’ will tend to be straight forward.
Be careful to try and keep it nice and steady, so it sounds well paced and not rushed. Particularly the semi-quaver passage will need to be guided by how fast the soloist can play it.
