Motet based on Psalm 141, for either liturgical use or concert performance. For large mixed choir (SSAATTBBB). May be performed a capella or with accompaniment. The organ part primarily follows the vocal lines and is intended to support performance; it also includes an optional short introduction, omitted in the MP3 version. A simplified version for smaller ensembles (SSAATBB, a capella) is also available. The style is contemporary, highly chromatic but tonal; the tension between the chromatic harmonies and their resolution reflect the struggle of the psalmist with his doubts and faith. Recommended for experienced choirs.
