This is a very straight forward arrangement of a the Shape Note Hymn, Blow Ye The Trumpet, Blow set to the tune Lenox. It is taken from the Southern Harmony hymnal from the 1860's. The first verse keeps with the Shape Note or Sacred Harp tradition of singing the first time through in solfegio, it is their peculiar type of solfegio which only uses the syllables fa sol la and mi. Dynamics are not noted as most Shape Note singing is sung lustily and at full voice. I would recommend researching shape note singing and practices before performing this anthem. The trumpet parts is optional but adds much to the anthem. The price gives the purchaser permission to make enough copies for their choir to perform the piece.
