This was one of the first piano pieces I wrote, and is overtly Romantic! Perhaps the title would explain this - adolescent love!! When reviewing the piece years later, I decided that a lush string backing would make it even more schmalzy, which I think it does. The piano part could still be played without the strings, if they were not available. There was an original dedicatee, but I’ve removed the name to avoid embarrassment all these years on!
